Truven Health Analytics' Informed Enrollment tool serves to help employees of large companies make the right healthcare plan choice by providing them with historical data about how they have used their plans and helping them to estimate what kinds of expenses they may incur in the coming year. We took the product from a 42 step, linear wizard to a simplified interactive model that surfaced all the tool had to offer on one page. A new design language makes the information clear, bold, and easily understood — and prompts the user to make sound choices. Data visualization clearly conveys complex information like premiums, out of pockets, and employer-paid costs. And an entire family’s use of the healthcare plan becomes scannable — making it even easier to track costs.
